A sharper look at every frame
Give every frame a closer look.
Switch between static references and a repeatable moving target to inspect pixels, sharpness, trailing, tone, and uniformity with a keen eye.
Visual comparison only—not a refresh-rate or response-time measurement.
01 / Test deck
Still image or moving frame, inspect both
Two complementary routes: static patterns for structure and tone, plus motion for repeatable visual comparison.
Animated and changing-brightness tools are optional. Stop if a pattern causes discomfort.
02 / Method
Keep the comparison fair
Motion observations mean more when the same settings and viewing conditions are used.
- 01
Lock
Keep refresh rate, overdrive, brightness, and browser zoom unchanged between passes.
- 02
Track
Follow the target with your eyes, then pause it to compare the static edge.
- 03
Repeat
Change one display setting at a time and rerun the same speed.
Read before judging
Motion appearance is not a millisecond result
Browser timing, frame rate, panel behavior, and your own eye tracking all affect the moving reference. Graywolf deliberately reports no response-time number.
03 / Useful answers
Before you inspect
Does the motion check measure ghosting?
It can help you visually compare trailing, but it does not measure or grade ghosting.
Why is movement uneven?
Browser scheduling, background load, refresh rate, synchronization, and power settings can all affect animation smoothness.
Which speed should I use?
Start with medium, then compare slow and fast while keeping every display setting unchanged.
